Cardano Foundation Appoints Its First CEO and Head of Growth

The Cardano Foundation recently announced that it has made two senior appointments, namely, Frederik Gregaard has been named as the company’s first Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Eva Oberholzer has become the Head of Growth.

According to the statement from the body, which oversees the development of Cardano, the two appointments were made to spur enterprise adoption and encourage solutions to build atop Cardano, a decentralised public blockchain.

Furthermore, the changes to the Foundation’s senior management coincide with shifting needs of the Cardano protocol. Ahead of the rollout of Goguen, the Foundation is transitioning into its fourth phase of development.

As the CEO of the Cardano Foundation, Gregaard will be based in Zürich, Switzerland. Oberholzer also takes on the newly created role of Head of Growth. In this capacity, she will represent all stakeholders of Cardano, ranging from the professional community, enterprises, strategic partners and institutions.

As the Head of Growth, Oberholzer will be responsible for meeting the needs of stakeholders at the management level to create new opportunities for the Cardano blockchain.
