Picks Laura Lin as Australia CEO

The broker commenced its Australian operations with an ASIC license earlier this month. announced on Thursday the appointment of Laura Lin as the Chief Executive Officer of its Australia business. She already joined the broker in August.

Her appointment came at a time when the London-headquartered company is aggressively expanding its global presence, especially in the Asia-Pacific region. Additionally, the Australian operation of the retail broker is new as it was only launched earlier this month.

Before joining, she was with Mitrade Group as the Acting Group CEO and Australia CEO. There, she launched the company’s Australia business. In addition, she spent more than eight long years at IG in compliance roles.

She holds a Masters’ degree in management from the Melbourne Business School and started her career in 2008 at the Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi.
