Bybit, a major cryptocurrency exchange , has promoted Alexander Ma to Senior Business Development Executive. According to an update via LinkedIn, the executive will be in charge of building relationships specifically with influencers.

He has been working in the company as Senior Business Development Specialist for the Bybit NFT marketplace. Prior to his role at the crypto exchange, he was employed at Huobi Global as a Market Researcher for nearly two months.

Also, Ma had a brief tenure in Binance, another major cryptocurrency exchange, as Operations Manager Between April and November 2021. In addition, he worked for over six years in several roles at the Forex broker OANDA as Supervisor in the Client Cash Management team and as Social Committee Lead and Bilingual Associate in the Funds Management department.

Before joining OANDA, MA worked as the Operation Officer in the Mutual Funds team at TD, which is based in Toronto, Canada. Also, he was employed as an Executive Assistant in an internship held in RBC Dominion Securities.

According to his educational background, he earned a Bachelor of Mathematics in Financial Analysis and Risk Management from the University of Waterloo and has a Masters in Business Administration from the NUS Business School and the Imperial College Business School.

Jarek Jakubcek was named Head of Intelligence and Investigations for Asia-Pacific (APAC) by Binance in May. Jakubcek is now responsible for Binance's efforts to coordinate with law enforcement agencies in the region to take down malicious actors in the crypto ecosystem.

Jakubcek has been working in Europol's Cybercrime Centre's (EC3) Dark Web team as a cybercrime expert for a number of years. As an operations and strategic member of EC3, Jakubcek contributed to major cryptocurrency investigations during his seven years there. Furthermore, he led the global cryptocurrency experts' platform that included representatives from hundreds of law enforcement agencies.
