Sam Tuck, a senior currency strategist at ANZ Bank New Zealand, based in Auckland, has announced that he is leaving the company.

He is reported to have written an email saying: “Today is my last day at ANZ”.

According to the bank’s website, Tuck, who has 16 years experience in the financial markets, joined ANZ six years ago as a foreign-Exchange trader, before joining the bank’s Strategy Research team in 2013. He previously spent 10 years in the Arbitrage and systematic trading group with Barclays Capital in London.

ANZ offers a range of solutions for institutional, corporate, retail, wealth and private banking. With the prominence of Australia and New Zealand as business destinations in the region, the firm has established itself as one of the top tier banks. Finance Magnates previously reported on ANZ in May when it appointed Mayank Navalakha as Global Head of FX and PM Options.

Tuck is reputed to be joining the New Zealand Superannuation Fund.
