Foreign Exchange and CFDs trading affiliate Investoo Group announced in a statement today that it has hired James McCarthy as General Counsel. In this role, McCarthy will provide strategic and risk-sensitive legal advice to the firm.

In his new role McCarthy will help the firm formalise its internal governance policies. He will also ensure that the company is compliant with the relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

Here, McCarthy also advised senior management on a range of legal issues such as Regulation and compliance relating to contract negotiations, corporate governance matters, GDPR and much more.

Commenting on his new role, McCarthy said: “the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of a company which has quickly established itself at the forefront of financial marketing was simply too good to pass up. Driving growth and adding value whilst ensuring the highest standards of conduct is my main goal.”

At the firm, McCarthy said that one of his main goals is to add value to the business by having a deep understanding of Investoo Group’s business model. He believes this will allow him to really contribute towards the company, he said in the statement.

The sound legal experience that James can provide will also be essential as we successfully progress with our expansion plan."
