Stavros Psyllos

Stavros Psyllos has joined Cryptopay, a provider of cryptocurrency payment solutions, as Chief Commercial Officer. His responsibilities include “driving strategies for expansion.”

From Gaming to CFDs

Cryptopay’s offerings include crypto deposits for fiat withdrawals, crypto payouts (including mass payouts), and same-day or next-day withdrawals. The company is also preparing to launch business cards soon.

Currently, Cryptopay serves a significant number of gaming clients. It is headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, and operates from London, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Estonia, Canada, and now Cyprus. The company has about 200 staff across its offices.

Psyllos noted that the company plans to expand its product suite once its Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licence in Luxembourg becomes active. Although Psyllos is based in Cyprus, Cryptopay has not yet established a physical office on the island.

A Payment Expert with Practical Experience

Psyllos aims to expand Cryptopay’s reach to forex and contracts for differences (CFDs) brokers, although the company already works with a few active CFD clients.

“I’m planning to grow the department so we can target CFD brokers,” Psyllos told FinanceMagnates.com. “It’s a no-brainer—I’ve personally serviced them for a decade and have seen how successful the Cryptopay product is in gaming, which follows a very similar flow. Pivot, penetrate, activate!”

Psyllos brings years of experience to his new role. He previously held senior roles in several payment firms, including as Senior Director at the Cyprus office of Ebury, which also onboarded several FX and CFD brokerage clients, FinanceMagnates.com reported earlier.

Other companies in his career history include neogroup, Novatti Group, Neopay, OROPAY, and others.
