Robinhood has launched crypto trading in the UK, allowing eligible customers to buy and sell more than 50 digital assets through its app.

The service adds crypto trading to the same platform where UK customers can already access stocks and shares ISAs, equities, options and futures. It is provided through Bitstamp UK Ltd, which is part of Robinhood’s crypto business.

Robinhood had announced plans in July to bring crypto trading to UK customers as part of a European expansion. The company said at the time that the service would launch in the UK, alongside other crypto products and its Robinhood Chain.

Robinhood said the new crypto offering will have zero trading fees, with no account maintenance or custody fees. It said the pricing is intended to provide a lower-cost alternative to some existing UK platforms.

Customers will be able to trade cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP and Hyperliquid.

“A new wave of UK investors sees digital assets as an important part of a diversified portfolio,” said Jordan Sinclair, President of Robinhood U.K. Ltd and General Manager of Bitstamp UK Ltd.

“With today’s launch, we’re taking another major step toward becoming the all-in-one investment platform for the UK,” Sinclair added.

The move builds on Robinhood’s existing crypto operations in the UK. The company acquired Bitstamp in 2025, bringing the regulated digital-asset exchange into its wider crypto business.

Robinhood Expands Onchain Infrastructure with Chain

Alongside crypto trading, Robinhood is introducing Cortex Digests for Crypto. The feature uses generative AI to analyse breaking news, market data, technical indicators and Robinhood’s proprietary information.

Robinhood said Cortex Digests will explain the factors affecting individual crypto assets in plain English. It is designed to give users additional market context when assessing price movements.

The company is also expanding its onchain infrastructure as part of its crypto offering.

UK developers can build on Robinhood Chain, a Layer 2 blockchain built on Arbitrum and connected to Robinhood’s onchain ecosystem. Robinhood describes the network as a development environment for applications and services linked to digital assets.
