Lightspeed Institutional, a division of Lightspeed Trading, announced today that it is broadening its offering to institutional traders by launching a new prime brokerage division.
Lightspeed Trading is a FINRA and NFA member and a fully disclosed introducing broker-dealer based in New York City and Chicago. The company offers securities and direct access brokerage, trading and advanced order routing services to its clients utilising Lightspeed’s software products.
Finance Magnates last reported on the company last November after it completed the integration of TipRanks’s rating tools in a bid to provide its clients with new research capabilities.

In a further natural extension to its services, the company is broadening its reach to the institutional market with products and services for established as well as start-up hedge funds by launching its prime brokerage division.
New Appointments
As part of the launch, Lightspeed Institutional has appointed Craig Aronoff to its team as EVP of Prime Brokerage Services. Aronoff began his career at Shearson Lehman Brothers as a financial consultant. Most recently he founded Victor Securities, a firm providing technology-driven brokerage solutions to professional traders.
