ATFX has always aimed to make a positive contribution to society.
ATFX, a global leader in online trading, is proud to announce the sponsorship of The Duke of Edinburgh Cup (DOE), City of London Qualifying Event 2023.
This year one of the qualifiers will take place at London Golf Club, on 21st of July, with joint sponsors Lucera and the Pewterers Company.
The annual Duke of Edinburgh Cup international golf series was established to benefit young people and children in need on a global scale. The programme is highly respected as it provides millions of 14 to 24-year-olds the opportunity and ambition to be the best they can be on a voluntary, non-competitive basis. The purpose of the award is to help young people overcome hardships and adversity with the goal to strive for a better life. So far the project has raised and distributed over $5,000,000 to charities in over 15 countries in 5 different continents.
It’s the DOE’s commitment that all the funds raised during the tournament will stay in the country where the event takes place. In this way, the charitable foundation ensures that the positive impact generated lasts in the local community and is used in the most effective way possible.
Along with the City of London Qualifier, this year ATFX is supporting the DOE in other countries such as Turkey and Thailand where participants get an opportunity to explore and connect with people from different cultures and traditions.
In Turkey, where the qualifier of the tournament takes place in October 2023, all the money raised throughout the tournament will go to young children and young people affected by the earthquake that happened in Turkey February 2023.
ATFX has implemented a global outreach programme in order to provide support and assistance to communities and people in need. We are committed to the partnership with the DOE Cup and their dedication in helping young people worldwide.
Wei Qiang Zhang who is the managing director of ATFX Connect, the institutional arm of ATFX group, commented: “We think it is highly important to look after and nurture the next generation, so this is very much in line with ATFX’s philosophy.”
Laura Casanova, Chief Commercial Officer at Lucera, a market-leader in connectivity & infrastructure solutions for institutional trading software, quote “We are delighted to support such a great cause, working with ATFX who are a key partner - to help the communities we operate in, and bring our clients together.”
Lady Russell is the Chair of Trustees of the Sheriffs’ and Recorder’s Fund, and HH Wendy Joseph KC is the 586th Master of The Worshipful Company of Pewterers: “The Old Bailey courts have been sending people to prison for centuries and for much of that time the Sheriffs and Recorder’s Fund has been helping to alleviate the resultant distress to their families, them and society as a whole. The SRF began by relieving the dire conditions in Newgate Prison and is as relevant now as ever – indeed with the current cost of living crisis, the demands on it are growing. Today, upon release, prisoners receive £76 from the State and very little else, so to be able to apply for a grant from the S&R Fund can positively help them turn their lives around. The Fund gives grants for clothing, tools for trade, training courses and household goods. But The S&R Fund does much more than this. It supports rehabilitation projects in prison in partnership with other charities whose aim is to break the cycle of reoffending. Reoffending costs the State £18billion a year. The Fund is proud to have a positive impact on society as it helps people put criminality behind them and opens the path to a constructive future.
John Casserley who is the Director of Operations at the DOE Cup, “we’re extremely delighted to continue working with ATFX and seeing new partners joining this magnificent event to support young people and local communities.
ATFX aims to be an enterprise which uses its corporate social responsibility policy to make a positive contribution to society.
