26 Degrees’ new Sydney headquarters is setting a benchmark for employee-centric workplaces
26 Degrees Global Markets, the Sydney headquartered multi-asset Prime of Prime broker is proud to announce that it has been Certified by Great Place To Work – the global authority in evaluating workplace culture and employee experience. The distinguished recognition is earned solely through the voices of current employees reflecting on their experiences of working at 26 Degrees.
In their recent employee survey:
· 98% of Australian employees said 26 Degrees is a great place to work.
· 100% believe management operates with honesty and ethical business practices.
"At 26 Degrees, our people are at the heart of everything we do, and this certification is testament to the incredible culture we’ve built together." said Gavin White, Group Chief Executive Officer. We’ve worked hard to create a workplace that balances ambition with enjoyment, where employees feel supported to grow, succeed, and thrive.
Through ongoing training, mentorship and development opportunities, we aim to empower employees with skills they can carry throughout their careers. The strong commitment to growth and excellence, combined with the strong community we’ve fostered, has been the driving force behind our success over the past decade – and will continue to be in our future.”
The new Sydney HQ
26 Degrees’ new Sydney headquarters is setting a benchmark for dynamic, employee-centric workplaces.
With over 70% of the Sydney team under the age of 30 and 40% under the age of 25, there was a concerted effort to ensure the office catered to this cohort. “We wanted to create a space that not only fosters collaboration and productivity but also reflects the vibrant energy of our team,” said Cassandra White, Director of People & Culture at 26 Degrees.
While the new office features a variety of collaborative areas and working zones, the dedicated wellness and leisure floor is what truly sets it apart. The floor includes a fully stocked and operational kitchen, indoor cricket pitch, yoga/peloton room, worship room, golf simulator, ping pong tables and even a basketball half-court.
Despite 26 Degrees requiring employees to work onsite at least two days per week, this innovative office environment has significantly increased voluntary in-office attendance. “The new space has created an environment where employees genuinely want to come in, connect, and collaborate.” Cassandra noted. “They feel highly motivated, more engaged, and part of a community.”
Out of office adventures
The commitment to fostering a dynamic and engaging workplace extends beyond the office walls at 26 Degrees. From lunch-time corporate sport competitions to regular adventure days, these activities give the chance for employees to strengthen personal and professional relationships.
Recent examples include a mountain biking trip for the Sydney team through the scenic Blue Mountains, and an adventure-packed day for the Cyprus team, filled with off-road buggy rides, paintball, and team-building challenges.
Wellbeing and support at 26 Degrees
To further support to its employees, 26 Degrees established a global Employee Assistance Program (EAP), spearheaded by Director of People & Culture Rebecca Van Reyk.
Powered by a partnership with MindFit, the EAP provides confidential counselling sessions and training courses accessible to all 26 Degrees employees worldwide. “We recognise that the wellbeing of our employees is paramount,” Rebecca said. “The EAP is designed to offer employees the support they need to thrive, both in and out of the workplace.”
26 Degrees Global Markets is an award-winning multi-asset Prime Broker specialising in providing prime services to brokers, hedge funds, proprietary trading firms and family offices globally.
