Chicago-based proprietary Trading Platform DV Trading, formerly a part of futures broker Rosenthal Collins Group, has partnered with Trading Technologies International, a global provider of trading solutions, to implement its flagship TT Score machine learning technology.

DV Trading operates as a market maker on global securities and derivatives venues. The HFT firm also trades financial and physical commodities through its DV Energy division.

The newly integrated TT Score is another way that helps the high-speed trading firm reduce costs and create efficiencies while acquiring new compliance surveillance capabilities. One goal of this deal is to reduce the regulatory risk and surveil all internal trading activity as a part of the firm’s global compliance program.

TT Score’s machine learning powered surveillance models already serve a wide variety of users, including proprietary traders, brokers, money managers, CTAs, hedge funds, and commercial hedgers and risk managers.

Never to miss the crypto mania

Trading Technologies is a two-decade-old fintech firm and over the years has expanded its reach to five continents. Earlier in January, the trading software provider ventured into the cryptocurrency space with a new partnership with popular exchange operator Coinbase to give institutional traders direct market access to both Bitcoin and bitcoin futures. It has also partnered with Coinfloor’s British Virgin Islands-based trading platform, CoinfloorEX, to improve cryptocurrency trading functionality and market access through implementing its TT Score machine learning technology.

Commenting on the news, Shifra Katz, head of legal and compliance at DV Trading, said: “We’ve had a great experience implementing TT Score’s advanced surveillance software within our firm. TT Score’s advanced pattern recognition technology, including unique visualization tools, such as Heatmap, Scorecard and Market Ladder Replay, will enable us to identify high-risk activity and reduce false positives with minimal effort.”

Guy Scott, head of Americas sales at Trading Technologies, added: “Over the past year, we’ve introduced new models, such as Marking the Close, and expedited our onboarding process to allow firms to view compliance results by simply checking a box. Advancements like these have positioned TT Score as the cutting-edge surveillance solution for leading firms such as DV Trading.”
