ChartIQ, the leading name in iPad stock and Forex charts, today announced the launch of ChartIQ Forex Trading Simulator for the Apple iPad. Foreign exchange traders can now practice trading against historical market conditions, honing their trading skills, without financial risk.

ChartIQ Practice Trading Simulator, released in May, 2012, sold thousands of copies in the AppStore and received critical acclaim, setting the bar for iPad trading simulators. ChartIQ Forex Trading Simulator brings the same advanced market simulation technology to foreign exchange traders.

An estimated 615,000 Americans trade currencies, participating in a global daily turnover of US$3.98 trillion. While paper trading (or "virtual trading") systems have long been available in the forex market, no tools have been available for these traders to practice technical analysis techniques against longer time periods and different historical conditions.

"Most forex traders rely on technical analysis of charts to drive their decision making. Until today, few tools have been available to help traders sharpen these skills," said Dan Schleifer, co-founder and president of ChartIQ. "ChartIQ Forex Trading Simulator teaches all of the key skills -- pattern recognition, use of leverage, and trading in different market conditions -- all driven off of real historical data."

Forex Trading Simulator includes historical market data for 60 different currency pairs, over 75 technical indicators, a leverage simulator, and a wide range of drawing tools enabling users to simulate a wide variety of trading conditions.

Next generation devices such as smartphones and iPads were key discussion points at the iFXEXPO in Macau, the mobile panel had leading experts sharing their thoughts on the future growth opportunities in mobile trading. Is there room for a mobile 'only' brokerage?, was one of the highlights of the event.
