MetaQuotes Software Corp, a foreign exchange (FX) platform provider, has partnered with multilateral trading facility (MTF), LMAX Exchange, tapping into its liquidity via a new integration gateway, according to a MetaQuotes statement.
The new gateway is important as it helps MetaQuotes’ clients, brokers, funds, and a wide spectrum of professional trading personnel access streaming limit order liquidity and improved execution methods. In particular, the new integration will be active on the MetaTrader 5 platform, targeting not just FX, but precious metals and indices offerings for users.

The partnership between the two venues will also look to foster the provision of conflict free and transparent execution, following a healthy growth in demand from both brokers and institutional traders.
According to Scott Moffat, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of LMAX Exchange, in a recent statement on the collaboration: “I am very proud of the ongoing working relationship with MetaQuotes and the value it brings to our retail broker clients by delivering leading edge technology and global market access. The MetaTrader 5 gateway to LMAX Exchange is a testament of our joint innovation and commitment to delivering best execution.”
The development follows on the heels of an earlier integration this month, in which Metaquotes tapped FXCM Pro as an institutional liquidity provider for its MT5 platform as well, pushing an emphasis on improved capabilities for clients trading in FX and contracts-for-difference (CFDs).
