Spotware Systems, a Cyprus-based electronic trading technology provider, has introduced copy trading feature to CTrader Desktop in its latest upgrade to the desktop version of its trading platform. The new 4.5 version comes with multiple manual trading updates and improvements to cTrader Automate, the firm’s algorithmic trading solution.

Spotware, in a statement shared with Finance Magnates on Thursday, noted that the added feature and improvements are “user-requested.” The update means that cTrader users now have access to “a thousand strategies" they can use as well as "intellectual filtering and one-click copy trading start.” This feature was previously only available on cTrader Web and Mobile.

“cTrader Automate also saw its share of updates with the new cBot backtesting charting mode, ability to evaluate margin amount required to open a position, as well as the convenience of trading sessions,” Spotware explained.

The firm added, “For manual trading, one can observe the new Smart Position Closing feature, the updated Tick Volume Indicator and direct, on-the-chart interaction with standard and custom indicators for maximum convenience.”

Speaking on the new updates, Alexander Strelnikov, Spotware’s Head of Product, assured that the new desktop version will greatly help "those looking to follow experienced traders – learning and earning from their expertise in Copy Trading, as well as those who prefer Automated and Manual methods.”

Other Recent Spotware cTrader Updates

Spotware’s new cTrader Dekstop 4.5 version release comes over a month after the electronic trading technology provider introduced a shared account feature to cTrader Mobile through a version 4.6 upgrade. However, this feature was first introduced to cTrader Web and Desktop earlier in October through a version 4.4 release.

With the shared account feature on cTrader Mobile, “users are now free to share, revoke and reject access to trading accounts, granting portfolio managers the opportunity to trade on their behalf,” Spotware explained. They can also do the same with the desktop version of cTrader and even place orders from the main toolbar, the firm had said.
