Prop Firm FundingPips Expands Built-In Trade Copier Across Three Trading Platforms

  • The dashboard now lists MT5, cTrader and Match-Trader after the copier began as an MT5-only beta in August.
FundingPips updates: increased allocations and new Prime rewards.

FundingPips expanded its built-in trade copier to display MetaTrader 5, cTrader and Match-Trader yesterday (Sunday). A screen shared by the CEO, Khaled Ayesh, showed all three connection options, while the prop trading firm acknowledged on X that Match-Trader had gone live.

Traders using more than one platform can now select from the three systems inside the copier interface. The screen does not establish which accounts can lead trades, which can follow them or whether every cross-platform combination is available.

Public Instructions Still Say MT5 Only

FundingPips placed the copier in its account dashboard. Users can create a portfolio of lead and follower accounts. An August 8 report on the beta launch said access was free and initially limited to the first 3,000 users.

The documentation has not caught up. FundingPips' current help page describes three methods for sizing copied positions: scaling by the follower's balance, scaling by equity or sending the original lot size without adjustment.

Symbol mapping is also available when two providers use different names for the same instrument. FundingPips warns that a missing mapping can prevent a follower from opening a position without generating an error notification.

However, the same instructions still label the product "MT5 only." They say cTrader and Match-Trader accounts cannot be added as a lead, follower or external account.

The page also states that only a FundingPips account can lead a portfolio. A follower may be another FundingPips account or an external MT5 account at a broker or prop firm, with four trading accounts allowed during the beta.

FundingPips has not explained whether those directions and limits changed alongside the expanded platform menu. It also has not said whether external cTrader and Match-Trader accounts can be connected.

Prop Firms Continue to Mix Trading Platforms

Retail prop firms broadened their platform lineups after MetaQuotes restricted access to MetaTrader for parts of the sector in 2024. That disruption sent firms toward cTrader, Match-Trader, DXtrade and TradeLocker before some companies restored MT5 through direct arrangements.

Match-Trader added full MT5 support to its prop trading backend in February 2026. The integration lets administrators manage MT5 and Match-Trader accounts through one back office, according to the vendor.

Spotware has also added prop firm clients to cTrader. Hola Prime adopted cTrader in July, joining a market in which prop firms increasingly offer two or more trading systems.

Platform availability still differs by jurisdiction. Spotware restricted new US prop firm users from cTrader earlier this year following what it called an internal regulatory assessment.

FundingPips currently says US residents and citizens cannot use cTrader. Its account guide lists Match-Trader as available in the US and Canada, while all three platforms remain subject to broader country restrictions. The public copier guide still describes MT5 as the only supported platform.
