Sneak peak at Currency Strategist turned trader, Joel Kruger's startup and Trading Platform First Macro. First Macro is an FX trading platform that combines technical and fundamental analysis and trading functionality within one interface.
Any startup founder will tell you that when it comes to creating new products, the one’s you will be most passionate about, are products that solve problems that one personally has. Leaving FXCM as a Currency Strategist in 2012, Joel Kruger set off to trade full time. Joel Kruger explained to Forex Magnates that he felt there was no one platform that offered all the tools he was looking for as a trader, which forced him to combine data from multiple sources. Also, after experiencing success trading, and having an active relationship with other traders on his blog, Kruger added that he was receiving interest to professionally manage other people’s accounts. All of this led him to create a Trading Platform that not only fit his needs as a trader, but could be used by others to manage their accounts individually. With that in mind, Kruger began to work on First Macro.
Founded by Kruger, First Macro is a technical and fundamental analysis based FX trading platform. The platform combines proprietary technical analysis, third party institutional research, fundamental data, news sources, and trading functionality within one interface. Kruger explained “First Macro is a solution that I wanted to create for traders, offering a comprehensive research and strategy platform, with full trading capabilities. The keys for me are the fact that this is high end research, commentary and strategy both on the technical and fundamental fronts.”
The platform is currently in the final stages of its development and will be available in the third quarter. The platform will be available on a subscription basis, or free, for traders using First Macro partnered brokers.
One trend we have been noticing at Forex Magnates is greater emphasis on producing products with the end-user in mind. As the forex industry continues to become more competitive, firms are seeking ways to offer unique features for their client base, to meet their needs. Among platforms, First Macro fits this trend of being designed from the user experience first.
