Today, 21 November 2013, the state of New Jersey will begin its trial period of legalized internet gambling.
At 6:00pm EST, New Jersey residents will be able to logon to any of the licensed Atlantic City Casinos and start placing bets.
The trial period is intended to make sure that the identification system works well, and that all players are over 21, as well as to test the payment system and limits of the online casinos. The trial period will begin with limited hours of play, and will gradually add more hours until the official launch, when gambling online will be available 24/7.
Also today, New Jersey State Sen. Raymond Lesniak will be making his proposal of his new bill that could allow international gaming in the state. If passed the bill will allow operators in New Jersey to offer online gaming services to any country where it is legal.
