Investous, a retail online broker, has signed a sponsorship deal with the Dutch football club PSV Eindhoven.

Signed at the Philips Stadion on Friday, the multi-year deal makes the brokerage firm the official trading partner of the football club.

Mentioning the significant sponsorship deal, Frans Janssen, head of Commercial at PSV, said: “We have again been able to tie up with a global brand. For us, it is a confirmation that we are a big international brand and that we are still growing. We are looking forward to launching joint projects that will be of value to both PSV and Investous.”

Though neither the broker not the football club revealed the value of the sponsorship deal, Investous will gain an entire suite of rights including in-stadium LED perimeter boards, social media, hospitality, and ticketing.

The Cyprus-based broker offers CFD trading for a wide range of asset class including FX, stocks, indices, commodities, and Cryptocurrencies . It offers cross-platform trading support with dedicated clients for Windows, iOS, and Android and is operating under the regulatory framework of the European Union and Cyprus.

“We view the sponsorship deal as a major step towards expanding our client base in the Netherlands and across Europe. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial collaboration,” said Petros Mylonas, operations director at Investous.

Sports Marketing - a Lucrative Promoting Area for Brokers

Over the past few years, sports sponsorships have become popular amongst brokers as they are an enticing way to raise brand awareness for the FX, CFDs, and binary options industry. The method has proven to be highly successful, as the sponsorships help expose a brand to far more individuals than a publication or even above the line advertising ever could.

Recently, we have seen several brokerage firms signing partnership deals with major football clubs across Europe including Sevilla FC, Alavés, and West Ham United.
