Tixee is migrating its existing clients to M4Markets.
The exact details of the acquisition are unknown.
Trinota Markets (Global) Limited, the operator of M4Markets, has partially or fully acquired the operations of Tixee, a forex and contracts for differences (CFDs) broker operating in the EU and globally, Finance Magnates learned.
As such, Tixee is closing down its trading platform and is offering existing clients the option to transfer their accounts to M4Markets.
M4Markets Is Onboarding Tixee Clients
"Pipbull Limited (hereinafter 'tixee') has recently entered into a mutually beneficial commercial arrangement with Trinota Markets (Global) Limited (hereinafter 'M4 Markets'), one of the most promising CFD brokers in the market. Due to this fact, you cannot create an account with Tixee anymore," a customer support email from Tixee noted.
"In light of this development, Tixee will offer to all of its existing clients the opportunity to transfer their accounts to M4Markets. This will ensure continuity of service for tixee clients and allow them to trade with the best possible trading conditions and without any disruption."
According to the Seychelles-registered website, Tixee had over 155,000 registered clients from over 115 countries.
However, the details of the deal are not known yet. It is unclear if M4Markets bought only the client book of Tixee or if it involved a wider acquisition of assets. Finance Magnates tried to contact Tixee and M4Markets and will provide updates accordingly.
The financial market regulator in Seychelles has already authorized the deal, as the email noted: "This arrangement has been acknowledged by the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles."
Email from M4Markets and Tixee
In addition, Tixee and M4Markets operate within the European Union with licenses from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission. It is unknown if the acquisition deal involved the Cyprus operations of Tixee.
Tixee Shutters
As Finance Magnates reported earlier, Tixee already terminated the opening of new accounts on both Seychelles and Cyprus-regulated platforms. Further, Todor Georgiev, Tixee's former Chief Operating Officer, recently left the broker to join FXGlobe, another FX/CFDs broker. Several other Tixee employees have also separated from the company in recent months.
Interestingly, at least two former Tixee employees from its Business Development team, Huan Van Tran and Donya F, joined M4Markets. Tran is handling M4Markets' Vietnamese-speaking clients, a lucrative demographic of traders, while Donya assumed the Senior Business Development Manager role.
