2025 Mini-Football Tournament: Exness Crowned Champions

When spreadsheets give way to sliding tackles, you know it’s time for FXCubic’s annual football tradition. Financial firms from around the world gathered in Limassol on Friday for a football tournament that blurs the line between business rivalry and sporting camaraderie.

The FXCubic Mini-Football Tournament, now in its fourth year, was held at Wembley Mini Football in Ypsonas and featured 16 teams drawn from across the trading and brokerage world.

The exciting soccer sensation, organized by the fintech specialist FXCubic, brought together top FX industry brands, including brokers and technology providers, for an evening of fierce but friendly football competition.

Exness Wins

Exness became the 2025 FXCubic Mini-Football Tournament champions, claiming the title with a commanding performance in the final against FXDS.

FXDS, who had stunned Swissquote in the semifinals, settled for second place after an impressive tournament run of their own. Meanwhile, Swissquote secured third place once again, repeating last year’s result with a solid playoff victory.

After falling short in the semifinals, the team responded with a confident performance in the playoffs, closing out their campaign on familiar ground and showing consistent quality across the tournament.

In the Semi-finals, Exness powered past HF Markets with a 5-1 victory, showing sharp finishing and control from start to finish. Their strong run continues as they head into the final with momentum on their side.

In the other semifinal, FXDS stunned Swissquote 4-2, knocking out one of the tournament’s top performers in a high-tempo encounter.

The FXCubic Mini-Football Tournament quarterfinals lived up to expectations, with standout performances and surprising scorelines. Exness defeated Match-Prime 6-3 in a fast-paced clash full of goals and momentum shifts, securing their place in the semifinals.

Swissquote remained in top form with a solid 2-0 win over Tickmill, controlling the tempo and keeping a clean sheet. HF Markets advanced after beating Squared Financial 2-0, showing a strong defensive structure and taking their chances well.

In the final quarterfinal match, FXDS delivered a shock result, thrashing Equiti 4-0 in one of the round’s most decisive outcomes. With four teams now through, the semifinal matchups are set to bring even more intensity as the title comes into view.

After rounds of intense group-stage action, the field has narrowed to eight standout teams set to battle it out in the quarterfinals of the FXCubic Mini-Football Tournament.

Match-Prime, Swissquote, Squared Financial, Equiti, Exness, Tickmill, HF Markets, and FXDS have all booked their spots in the knockout round.

Fifth Round

Round Five of the tournament saw key teams lock in their spots as group leaders, while others wrapped up their campaigns.

Match-Prime stayed unbeaten with a 3-0 win over FxPro, continuing their dominant run with disciplined defense and clinical finishing. Exness repeated their earlier form with another emphatic 8-0 victory—this time over cTrader— in one of the tournament’s most one-sided scorelines.

Elsewhere, Convertico Media and FXDS shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw, with both sides creating chances and refusing to back down.

Equiti edged out HF Markets 1-0 in a tightly contested clash between two top-performing teams, cementing their credentials as serious contenders. With the group stage complete, all eyes now turn to the knockout phase.

Fourth Round

Round Four of the FXCubic Mini-Football Tournament brought a mix of dominant wins and tightly contested draws as teams made their final push before the knockout stage.

Tickmill secured a confident 3-0 victory over FxPro, bouncing back from earlier results with a strong all-around performance. LP Prime and cTrader ended in a 1-1 draw, with both teams sharing points after a balanced contest that offered few clear chances.

Convertico Media edged out Scope Markets 2-1, grabbing a much-needed win thanks to a late goal that sealed the result. Meanwhile, Equiti continued their impressive form with a 5-1 win over Ingot Brokers.

Third Round of Group Stages

Meanwhile, Round Three of the group stages saw several teams reinforce their strong starts, while others were left looking for answers. Match-Prime continued their winning streak with a commanding 4-0 victory over XS.

Swissquote held off a strong challenge from Exness to win 4-2, maintaining their unbeaten run in an entertaining end-to-end match. Squared Financial and FXDS played out a tense 0-0 draw, with both sides staying compact and cancelling each other out in midfield.

Additionally, HF Markets dominated again, beating Pepperstone 6-1 in one of the most one-sided matches of the day. With just one round left before the knockout phase, frontrunners like Swissquote, HF Markets, and Match-Prime are starting to emerge.

Second Round

Round Two of the FXCubic Mini-Football Tournament brought more decisive results as teams looked to gain early momentum. Match-Prime edged past Tickmill 1-0 in a closely fought contest, sealing the win with a single goal that proved enough to separate the sides.

Exness, on the other hand, cruised to a 4-0 win over LP Prime, dominating the match with confident attacking play and solid defense. FX Dealing Solutions (FXDS) secured a 2-0 victory over Scope Markets, controlling possession and converting key chances to claim their first win.

HF Markets also impressed with a 4-0 win against INGOT Brokers, applying constant pressure and making their mark as early contenders. With two rounds now complete, the competition is heating up as teams fight for a place in the knockout stage.

Opening Round

In the opening round, FxPro and XS played out a goalless draw, with both teams failing to break the deadlock despite several chances on either end. Meanwhile, Swissquote delivered the most emphatic win of the day, sweeping aside cTrader with a commanding 8-0 victory that set the tone for their campaign.

Elsewhere, Squared Financial overcame a spirited effort from Convertico Media to win 4-2 in a well-balanced contest that tilted late in Squared’s favor. In one of the tighter fixtures, Equiti edged Pepperstone 2-1, sealing the win with a second-half goal after both sides exchanged early strikes.

Last year, Equiti won the competition, clinching the coveted trophy with a stellar performance against Match Prime. Swissquote emerged third and produced the top scorer of the tournament, Yannick Makota.

The teams that made it to the Semi-finals were 26 Degrees, Match Prime, Swissquote, and Equiti.
