TigerDirect has sold over $500,000 in Bitcoin purchases in less than 3 days.
Yesterday we posted on TigerDirect now accepting Bitcoin with Bitcoin payment processor BitPay. The gamble on accepting the cryptocurrency seems to have paid off and TigerDirect, with BitPay, has processed over half a million dollars in Bitcoin Transactions.
More impressive than closing in on $500,000 in less 72 hours is the how fast they reached the first half of that amount. TigerDirect reported over $250,000 was processed in the first 17 hours of accepting Bitcoin. The bulk of the first half of BTC transactions came after TigerDirect announced the news of them accepting Bitcoin. The majority of customers came from various media and social outlets where the news was published, creating a large amount of traffic, naturally leading to more sales.
