“With cross border payments rapidly evolving we’ve enhanced our Paygate payment platform to address the needs of merchants that want to successfully grow their businesses both locally and beyond their borders without sacrificing consumer convenience or payment security,” said Ralf Gladis, CEO of Computop.
Responding to shifts in economic and competitive conditions, the release of Paygate 6.0 sees Computop significantly extend its local market presence in a number of key global territories. In Brazil, for example, merchants can now use the Paygate platform to process locally issued Visa, MasterCard, AMEX and Diners Club credit cards alongside domestic payment cards such as Hipercard, Elo and Aura. Additional features now available for the Brazilian market include support for online payments and cash-in solutions such as Boleto Bancário, together with full support for online bank transfers with all major Brazilian banks. Furthermore, merchants can take advantage of Computop’s eShopWorld solution to calculate local customs duties, taxes and shipping fees.
“With our deep history of supporting payments on a global scale and our incisive knowledge of the rapidly evolving payment landscape, we’ve further enhanced our Paygate payment platform to meet the needs of merchants that need to ‘think global, act local’,” continued Gladis. “The release of Computop Paygate 6.0 enables businesses to ensure the smooth and secure processing of payments throughout North America, Europe and Asia, and makes it possible to transact with confidence in fast emerging markets around the globe.”
