TenTrade, a CFD broker based offshore in Seychelles that also runs a prop trading arm, has appointed Wilfred Obasi as Regional Director for Africa. He takes over the broker's commercial operations in the region from Victor Ufot.

Obasi joins after thirteen years at Exinity, where his most recent role was Partner Enablement Manager at the broker's Dubai office. His background spans client acquisition, partner management and business development across FX and CFD markets, with a focus on African markets.

From Exinity to the Regional Director's Chair

In the new role, Obasi will oversee revenue growth, client acquisition, partnership development and product expansion for TenTrade in Africa, alongside work to adapt the broker's CFD and prop trading offering to the region.

"My primary focus will naturally be on deepening relationships with our partners and brokers here," Obasi said

TenTrade Chief Revenue Officer Andreas Andreou stressed that Obasi's knowledge of local and regional African markets would help shape the broker's expansion path in the region.

Part of a Wider Leadership Push

The appointment follows a series of senior hires at TenTrade this year. In June, Andreou joined the broker as Partner and Chief Revenue Officer after a stint as Chief Sales Officer at INGOT Brokers, while Marios Morfakis moved into the Chief Sales Officer post after running business development at the same firm.

Andreou had also held commercial roles at BDSwiss, where he served as Chief Commercial Officer before becoming Chief Revenue Officer, and at HF Markets DIFC as Head of Business Development.

TenTrade has also built out its profile in Africa on the marketing side. In April, the broker signed former Portugal footballer Luis Figo as its global brand ambassador, a deal tied to the number 10 shirt Figo wore during his playing career. In June, TenTrade was named Fastest Growing Broker at the Trading Awards Africa 2026, a public vote covering brokers and fintech providers active in the African market.

Obasi's appointment adds a regional leadership layer to that push, with Africa positioned as one of TenTrade's priority growth markets for the year.
