Simon Jones has announced on LinkedIn today (Tuesday) that he is taking on a new role as Head of FX Product and Liquidity at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). This new position represents a progression in his career within the foreign exchange sector.
Commenting on his new role, he shared on the post: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head of FX Product and Liquidity at LSEG.”
Background in FX Leadership
Before joining LSEG, Jones held several notable positions. Most recently, he served as Chief Growth Officer at 360 Trading Networks for over seven years in London. In this role, he focused on driving business growth and expanding market reach.
Prior to his time at 360 Trading Networks, Jones was Director at Pierrepoint FX Ltd for two years. His responsibilities there included overseeing various aspects of the business and ensuring operational efficiency.
Earlier in his career, Jones was Managing Partner at Liquidity Pool for just over a year. His experience also includes a lengthy tenure at Citi for about 15 years, where he served as Managing Director. During this period, he held the position of Global Head of FX eTrading, contributing to the bank's foreign exchange trading operations.
LSEG Announces Leadership Changes
Global clearing house LCH, now part of the London Stock Exchange Group, has appointed Patrick Strobel as its Chief Technology Officer. Strobel has been with LSEG for over three years, previously serving as Head of SwapClear and Regulatory Reporting Technology. His career includes significant roles at Liquidnet, Deutsche Bank, and JPMorgan.
Meanwhile, Adam Collins has moved to the Capital Markets division of LSEG FX as the Head of Sales after five years with LSEG's Refinitiv, as reported by Finance Magnates. His focus will be on the foreign exchange market. Collins previously led sales at Refinitiv and held roles at Bloomberg LP and BNP Paribas, beginning his career at CMC Markets UK in 2005.
