Vela Trading Technologies (formerly SR Labs), a provider of high performance trading and market data technology, today announced a series of seven new appointments across the marketing, sales and accounts management departments, as per an official statement.
The list of new hires includes Wendy Chan who has joined as Global Head of Marketing. In her new role, Wendy will use a variety of marketing programs and activities to deliver Vela’s business objectives to the global markets. She will be based out of the company’s headquarters in New York. Before joining Vela, Ms. Wendy served in various roles at SunGard, XcitekSolutionsPlus, Interactive Data, and Merrill Lynch.

Also based in Chicago, Vela has appointed a new software engineer, Michael A. Goettsch, as senior pre-sales engineer where he will be tasked with researching new product and service opportunities. Mike has a deep understanding of the challenges facing Vela clients and the technical skills to design proper solutions.
Two Account Managers and Another Sales Specialist
Appointed as an account manager, Lauren Trapanotto is responsible for building relationships with new and existing clients in North America. He will be based in New York and will report to Keith Cacciola, Global Head of Account Management. Vela is also hiring another account manager in London who will join in early August to focus on establishing and growing EMEA relationships.
To support the global sales team, London-based Kirsty Marsh joins Vela and is responsible for Global Sales Operations. Kirsty brings previous experience working with SIX Financial Information.
