Tokeny Solutions, a provider of white-label platform, has hired Damien Fontanille as its new business development director.

Announced on Tuesday, Fontanille will be responsible for expanding the company’s business in three key markets - France, Britain, and Italy - thus strengthening its position in Europe.

Commenting on his new role, Fontanille said: “Having worked in a number of roles in investment banking it became clear to me that the digitization of the industry is a requirement to maintain profitability and meet client expectations. I’m delighted to join a company at the forefront of digital innovation and one that is able to bring these financial markets into the digital era.”

The company is on a hiring spree and added members in key roles to the firm, which include the hiring of Bastiaan Don in the same role, responsible for the expansion of Tokeny’s business in three other European countries.

With around 16 years of experience in the financial industry, Fontanille held many key roles in major companies. Prior to his role at Tokeny, he was a partner at ALLINDEX, a technology solutions provider for the index industry.

He also headed the European product Marketing for RBS for more than half a decade and was also the head of equity and hybrid derivatives sales at Natixis.

“As part of our vision of digitizing capital markets, we need to have the personnel onboard that know these markets inside and out,” Luc Falempin, chief executive of Tokeny Solutions, added. “Our team already consists of many individuals from the financial services industry and Damien, with his senior experience in some of the largest financial institutions in the UK and France, adds genuine strength to our team and specifically these markets.”
