FP Markets, an online financial trading services provider, has picked Richmond Zalavarria, the former Senior Business Development Manager at IronFX, as the company’s Head of Business Development and Sales. In his new role, Zalavarria is responsible for the company’s overall operations related to its Sales and Business Development Department.
In his new role, Zalavarria will provide guidance to new and existing sales managers of FP Markets. He has deep expertise in FX sales across different regions around the world.
Zalavarria joins FP Markets from Key Way Group, where he served as the Head of Business Development – B2B, Partnership and M&A. He worked at Key Way Group for almost 10 months.
Prior to joining Key Way Group, Zalavarria was associated with IronFX. He spent approximately nine years at IronFX and served in a wide range of roles to drive the company’s sales and business development activities. He held the position of Senior Business Development Manager at IronFX for nearly seven years. Between October 2020 and September 2021, he worked with IronFX as Business Development Coordinator.
Background
Zalavarria has been working in the financial services industry for almost 16 years. In November 2006, he joined Ameriprise Financial Services as Financial Services Representative. With E*TRADE, the newly appointed Head of Business Development and Sales at FP Markets spent more than two years as the Financial Services Representative. He completed his MSc in financial services from Cyprus International Institute of Management.
