PayPal Onboards Archana Deskus as Executive VP and Chief Information Officer

PayPal announced that it has onboarded Archana Deskus as Executive VP and Chief Information Officer, effective from 28 March.

In an article shared with Finance Magnates, Archana (Archie) Deskus, an executive veteran with more than twenty years of experience in the financial industry, has been named by PayPal, a global financial services provider, as its Executive Vice-President and Chief Information Officer.

Deskus brings around two decades of financial experience to the role. She will supervise PayPal’s global information technology operations. Further, she will report directly to the President and CEO of PayPal, Dan Schulman.

A Quick Glance at Deskus’ Career

Concurrently, Deskus is serving three corporations in different capacities, including Board Director for Cognizant and East West Bank, and also she is Senior Vice-President and Chief Information Officer at Intel Corporation.

Prior to Deskus’ current roles, she took on the responsibilities of a Senior Vice-President and Chief Information Officer for Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

Earlier in January 2013, she became the Vice-President and Chief Information Officer at Baker Hughes.

Additionally, Ingersoll Rand also utilised Deskus in the same capacity as Baker Hughes as Vice-President and Chief Information Officer for two years.

Further, she spent more than four years at Timex Group as Senior Vice-President and Chief Information Officer.

In 2007, she held the post of Adjunct Professor at the University of Connecticut for a year.

Carrier HVAC recruited Deskus in mid-2003 as its Vice-President and Chief Information Officer of North America HVAC.

Moreover, Pratt & Whitney benefitted from her knowledge and experience. Her last position was Executive Director of Infrastructure & E-Business. Though, her first known role was for the same company as Executive Director of the ERP Program.
