PagoNxt Names Kush Saxena as CEO of PagoNxt Merchant Solutions

Santander’s PagoNxt announced today that it has appointed Kush Saxena to Chief Executive Officer of PagoNxt Merchant Solutions, a newly created role. Saxena has more than 15 years of experience in the corporate world.

In his extensive career, Saxena worked with some of the most prominent names in the financial services industry. He joins PagoNxt from Mastercard, where he was serving as the Executive Vice President (EVP) of US Merchants and Acceptance.

He spent nearly 8 years at Mastercard. Earlier this year, PagoNxt expanded its team with the appointment of Dean Nash, the former General Counsel at Wise, as the company’s Chief Legal Officer.

Q1 Developments

Since the start of 2022, PagoNxt has expanded its operations significantly. In the first quarter of 2022, the company saw a sharp surge of 122% in revenue as the number touched €162 million. Created in 2020, PagoNxt brings together all of Santander’s payments businesses.

“Kush will be joining PagoNxt in mid-June. Ignacio Narvarte, the current General Manager, will take on the role of Deputy CEO of PagoNxt Merchant Solutions, working alongside Kush to oversee the business across the Getnet franchise and the relationship with Santander banking teams. Kush received a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Gujarat University (India) and a Master of Science degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University,” the company added in the announcement.
