OpenFin, a financial technology company, announced this Wednesday that it has managed to recruit Adrian Crockett as its Chief Product Officer (CPO), a veteran in the financial industry.

As the CPO, Crockett will be based in New York and will work with the company’s client base to build its app infrastructure. In particular, OpenFin provides analogous infrastructure built to address the needs of the financial industry. The company’s ecosystem is comprised of more than 1,200 applications. As part of this, Crockett will be leading the firm’s product development across all offerings.

Adrian Crockett’s career before OpenFin

Crockett has an extensive career in the financial space, having worked at Tier-1 banks such as Deutsche Bank, where he spent close to seven years, Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse, where he worked for almost a decade.

Commenting on the appointment, the CEO of OpenFin Mazy Dar said in the statement: “Adrian was the ideal candidate for us with an exceptional understanding of enabling digital transformation at a macro level as well as deep expertise in end-user ergonomics and application design at a micro level. We could not be more excited to have him leading our product development.”

In addition to working at some of the top banking institutions, in 2012, Crockett co-founded Pellucid Analytics . This is a platform that streamlines the creation of investment banking pitch books through functionalities. Until December of last year, he served as the company’s CEO, when the firm was acquired by a leading market data vendor.
