NetCents Technology announced that it has appointed Marcie Verdin as its new Executive Vice President of Card and Solutions Development, effective immediately.

In a press release shared with Finance Magnates, Marcie Verdin, a Global General Management, Partnership and Product Development Executive with more than twenty-five years of experience in merchant acquiring, card issuing and B2B Payments , has been recruited by NetCents Technology, the transactional hub for all cryptocurrency payments, as its new Executive Vice President of its Card and Solutions Development.

Verdin brings over a quarter of a century of payments, internet security, and strategic consulting experience to the new post. In the new role, Verdin will focus on accelerating the Company's growth and scale to service customer needs globally and lead and expand new product development. She will also scale the issuer and merchant solution set. This includes partner development, customer experience, new solution development as well as scaling existing programs and partnerships, according to her LinkedIn profile.

A Look Back at Verdin’s Vocation

Before the announcement, FIS recruited Verdin as its Head of Enterprise Portfolio Management. For less than a year, she led a new integrated team around strategic portfolio management, product management excellence and product delivery. In the role, Verdin managed a portfolio that included $600M in annual spending supporting 300+ project managers driving $8B in revenue.

Prior to FIS in January 2016, she served Worldpay as its Senior Leader in Portfolio Management. For just over four and a half years, she successfully led the global team of Senior Portfolio Leaders, Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Operations managers.

Earlier, in June 2014, Verdin joined Vantiv and became its VP Core Processing and Related Services Product. Over a period of six years, she fulfilled the duties of the role where she was in charge of product management of the merchant and financial institution core payments processing and related services.

In another role, she served MasterCard for close to ten years, Initially, she started as Group Head and SVP Global Commercial Products in early 2005, After six and a half years, she received a promotion to Senior Vice President of P2P Payments. Then, not long after, she levelled up to Senior Vice President where she was in control of the product line.

Moreover, she had fulfilled a number of other roles as a Vice President, including Travelport’s Americas Marketing division, Cendant Corp.’s Travel Distribution Services Division, Visa International’s CP Purchasing Card department. Further, she took on two positions as Director of Marketing for VeriSign in November 2000 and American Express in 1994. Finally, her first appointment began at Accenture as a Senior Consultant in early 1990.

As NetCents Technology continues its rapid growth and international expansion, the executive team has similarly evolved to meet growing customer demand and optimize internal operations.
