The global asset servicing arm of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, MUFG Investor Services, has announced today that it has added two new executives to its team. Oliver Scully has been appointed as the Head of EMEA Sales and David Sarfas as Global Head of Private Equity.
Both Scully and Sarfas will be based in the company’s London office. Sully will report to Mike McCabe, Managing Director, Global Head of Business Development, and Sarfas will be under John Sergides, Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
The appointment of Scully and Sarfas further shows that MUFG is committed to growing its Investor Services business. In recent years, the company has invested heavily in these sectors. One of the most notable appointments was in October last year when Ben Griffiths was made Managing Director, Global Head of Fund Financing.
John Sergides
Commenting on the new hires, John Sergides, said: “Oliver and David are dynamic additions to the team, bringing deep expertise in fund administration and transaction services, as well as in strategic development and finding solutions to suit clients’ needs.
“Their expertise will allow MUFG to strengthen its partnership with clients and help them meet changing regulatory requirements, increasing demands of investors, and needed operational efficiencies for the rapidly evolving alternative investment industry.”
Previously, Scully worked at Citco Fund Services, a subsidiary of Citco Group, for 14 years. Here he was a Managing Director responsible for sales and marketing for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

David Sarfas
