ICE Revamps its Board of Directors with Two New Appointments

(NYSE:ICE) today selected the industry veteran Thomas E. Noonan to join its board of directors. ICE also announced that Sir Bob will part ways with ICE Clear Europe, ending a seven-year tenure.

Mr. Thomas serves currently as a General Partner of TechOperators LLC. He is an active entrepreneur through his venture firm, TechOperators, where he is a founding partner. Most recently, he served as the General Manager of Energywise solutions for Cisco Systems. Mr. Noonan was also appointed as a member of ICE’s Risk Committee.
Speaking about his appointment, Mr. Noonan said: “I am pleased to be joining ICE’s Board of Directors at this important time in the continued evolution of financial markets and I look forward to contributing to the governance of the company as well as its growth initiatives. Jeff and his colleagues have done a fantastic job growing the ICE business and diversifying its product base over the last decade and I enjoy working with innovative companies like ICE.”
Separately, Ann Cairns has been appointed a member of ICE Clear Europe’s Board of Directors, to serve as Chairperson effective January 2017. Ms. Cairns will replace the outgoing Chairperson of ICE Clear Europe Sir Bob Reid, as well as joining the Board of Directors of Intercontinental Exchange shortly thereafter.
Ms. Cairns brings more than 20 years of experience working in senior management positions across Europe and the U.S., running global retail and investment banking operations.
Prior to joining ICE, Ann was president of international markets at Mastercard, where she was responsible for the management of all markets and customer-related activities outside North America.
Previously, Ms. Cairns was CEO of Transaction Banking at ABN-AMRO in London, where she managed a global business with over 5 billion euros in revenue in 50 countries, covering the commercial, retail and financial institutions segments.
