Gold-i Promotes Two Employees to Newly Created Senior Roles

Both of them will directly report to Gold-i CTO, Chris James.

Gold-i, a fintech firm offering trading systems integration solutions for the financial services ‎industry, has created two new senior development roles and promoted two existing employees, Dr Syed Ashar Akhtar and Mo Alshanteer.

According to the press release shared with Finance Magnates, Dr Akhtar has been promoted to the Head of Development, while Alshanteer has been appointed as Product Delivery Manager. Both these roles were created as a part of the company’s growth strategy.

“With a growing product portfolio and business at an all-time high, we decided this was the right time to promote Syed and Mo, streamlining our teams and enabling us to accelerate product development,” said Tom Higgins, CEO at Gold-i.

“As part of our growth strategy we look to promote from within the organization whenever possible and both Syed and Mo are highly valued members of the Gold-i team who thoroughly deserve their promotions.”

Spent Years at Gold-i

Both of them are long-term employees of Gold-i: Dr Akhtar joined the company in 2014 as a developer and later progressed to a Team Leader. He worked in the development of a number of Gold-i products, including its multi-asset liquidity management platform, Matrix, Crypto Switch 2.0™ and business intelligence and risk management tool, Visual Edge.

In his new role, Dr Akthar will manage a team of in-house and remote developers and will focus his work on the developments to Crypto Switch 2.0™ and a new version of Matrix.

Furthermore, Alshanteer has been a part of the fintech company for six years and will now manage a team of three people. He will be responsible for delivering new products in time and maintaining existing products.

Earlier this year, Gold-i promoted Mark Alvarez-Buylla as the Director of Operations of the company.
