Global Processing Services (GPS), a prominent international payment technology platform, announced today that it has expanded its team with the appointment of Simon Stanford as Chief Revenue Officer. Through the appointment of Stanford, GPS is planning to expand its operations to drive revenue growth.

Stanford has joined Global Processing Services from Worldpay, where he led a commercial team of more than 450 people and served as Senior Vice President Group Executive for the EMEA region.

During his extensive career of more than two decades, Stanford worked with names like Samsung Electronics and O2.

“In meeting Joanne and GPS’ new board I was impressed by the scale of their global ambition to transform the payments industry and their drive to help financial technology companies and entrepreneurs all over the world accelerate the digital revolution. GPS has built an impressive and diverse customer base, providing the issuer processing firepower for some of the most disruptive and fast-growing fintech firms in the world. I am delighted to join the team and look forward to being part of GPS’ international growth journey,” Stanford commented on his appointment.

Growth

Earlier this year, GPS announced a capital injection of more than $400 million. In March 2022, the company confirmed a new partnership with Mastercard, the US-based financial services provider, to accelerate its growth.

Commenting on the appointment of Stanford as CRO, Joanne Dewar, the Chief Executive Officer at GPS, said: “We are delighted to welcome him to our senior leadership team. Simon joins GPS at the most exciting chapter in our history to date as we prepare to embark on a rapid global expansion.
