Thomas will provide a wealth of FX sales expertise, having gained more than 20 years of experience in the industry since 1997. He boasts a lavish employment history, from some of the most established and prestigious global financial institutions.

The launch of Mr. Thomas’ career was initiated at AIG, where he climbed the corporate ladder to become Vice President of FX and Prime Brokerage Sales. According to his LinkedIn profile, he was “promoted to the institutional foreign exchange sales desk in 2001 and served as a member of a global team of foreign exchange sales professionals covering leveraged, corporate, and commodity trading advisor accounts.”

Gaining such important knowledge at such a large company was a great launching point for his career, enabling him to obtain future executive positions across the industry.

Following his time at AIG, Mr. Thomas leveraged his experience into a two-year stint with BNP Paribas as VP of FX Sales. He then moved on to take over the same title for Citi, maintaining his position for 5 years through 2011. Over the next 5 years, Mr. Thomas endured a fluctuation in employers, starting as Director of FX Sales at Commerzbank from 2011 to 2013.

Shortly thereafter, he took on the same position for INTL FCStone Inc, but only remained with the company for one year, prior to departing for another one-year stint with ED&F Man Capital Markets. The path leading Mr. Thomas to his current position at FlexTrade illustrates the rich historical experience that he has gained over the years.

Bruce Wolf, Head of FX Business Development at FlexTrade, commented on the addition of Thomas as VP of FX Sales in the US: “I’m pleased to welcome Paul to our FX sales team. His more than 20 years of experience in the FX market space will be indispensable as we expand our sales efforts in the Americas.”

FlexTrade has been actively recruiting talent to its business development units. Just last week, the company hired Paul Alves as Senior Vice President of Global FX Business Development. Moreover, in an effort to improve its offerings for clients, FlexTrade recently partnered with BestX, implementing the BestX Analytics solution into its FlexTRADER EMS.

The goal of the partnership from the side of FlexTrade is to provide a transparent and analytical solution intended to improve the Execution of trades, as well as to conduct a more thorough and easily obtainable analysis of trading performance.
