Finstek adds Zaid Alkhatib as Operations Manager

The software development and services arm of GMI Group, Finstek, just announced the addition of Zaid Alkhatib to its team. He will be taking on the role of Operations Manager.

Zaid Alkhatib brings over eight years of experience in the financial services industry to the role. He has headed the operations for several large European Brokers and was the Head of Operations/COO for Orbex LTD.

Commenting on his appointment, the company’s new Operations Manager, Zaid Alkhatib, said: “The pace of technological changes is exponential, but at Finstek, the team shares a powerful vision of the future: developing industry-changing products and solutions, not only for the FX space but across the entire Financial Services industry to accommodate these changes by developing cutting edge, transformational products.”

The recently appointed new CEO of Finstek, Cristian Vlasceanu, said: “I am absolutely delighted to have Zaid Alkhatib join us at Finstek. Zaid will provide the senior leadership and management experience to simplify and enhance the operational and business technology needs for brokerage houses, hedge funds and major financial institutions around the world.”

In his new role, Alkhatib will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company. “Zaid will play a key role in our continued aggressive global growth and expansion. We are actively hiring in Cyprus, Eastern Europe, and South East Asia,” elaborated Vlasceanu.

Finstek has been actively onboarding more personnel to its ranks in recent weeks. Elaborating on the firm’s plans, the Chairman of the company, Ashraf Ebid said that the firm has two primary goals - to continue to deliver to its customers its new technology and to hire the best staff to support its clients’ software needs.
