Mentioning the new role at Crypto Facilities, Chung commented: “I am excited to join Crypto Facilities to lead the firm’s index and pricing products business. Crypto Facilities has created a world-class cryptocurrency trading, data and index platform, and I look forward to building on this initial success.”
Crypto Facilities’ client base includes both retail and institutional investors. Moreover, it is a significant name among cryptocurrency index providers. Some of the major crypto indices calculated by Crypto Facilities are the CME CF Bitcoin Reference Rate and Real-Time Index, and the CME CF Ether-Dollar Reference Rate and Ether-Dollar Real-Time Index. These indices are used by Chicago-based exchange CME Group to power its Bitcoin futures and were launched by both the firms together earlier this month.
Welcoming Chung, Crypto Facilities’ CEO Timo Schlaefer said: “We are delighted to welcome Sui to the team. His wealth of experience in the data and index space will spur the development of our cryptocurrency index and pricing business, and increase the adoption of our products and services by financial institutions and professional investors.”
