Ashley Glover took on the new position this month.

Glover had been the head of sales at GAIN Capital Australia for just over year prior to starting in this new position. Before this, he worked at CMC Markets ANZ in the role of ‘Head of Sales and Wholesale CFD Partners Australia’ for more than 3 years.

Glover has worked in the financial industry for almost 18 years. He began his career as a relationship manager at Commonwealth Securities in Australia. He stayed in this position for more than 5 years. Since then, he has worked in London at Halifax, Santander and Learn to Trade.

He has a postgraduate diploma financial planning from Deakin University in Australia, a diploma in financial planning and financial management services from the UK Chartered Insurance Institute, and an unspecified qualification from the Securities Institute of Australia, according to information made public on his LinkedIn profile.

CMC Markets APAC is based in Sydney. It is a financial services provider which offers CFDs, shares, options, listed managed investments, warrants and interest rate securites. It is one of the subsidiaries of CMC Markets, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange and regulated by the New Zealand FMA. It was founded in 1989 and has offices in over 70 countries.

Finance Magnates last reported on CMC Markets a few days ago. It responded to the FCA’s warning letter to CFD providers by noting that it had already taken steps to address the issues noted in the letter. It added that “it continues to focus on its target market and works closely with its small number of distributors to enhance regulatory compliance.”
