CMC Markets Hires Ashley Glover as Head of Sales APAC and Canada

CMC Markets APAC has hired a new head of sales for the APAC and Canada regions.

Ashley Glover took on the new position this month.

Glover had been the head of sales at GAIN Capital Australia for just over year prior to starting in this new position. Before this, he worked at CMC Markets ANZ in the role of 'Head of Sales and Wholesale CFD Partners Australia' for more than 3 years.

Glover has worked in the financial industry for almost 18 years. He began his career as a relationship manager at Commonwealth Securities in Australia. He stayed in this position for more than 5 years. Since then, he has worked in London at Halifax, Santander and Learn to Trade.

He has a postgraduate diploma financial planning from Deakin University in Australia, a diploma in financial planning and financial management services from the UK Chartered Insurance Institute, and an unspecified qualification from the Securities Institute of Australia, according to information made public on his LinkedIn profile.

Finance Magnates last reported on CMC Markets a few days ago. It responded to the FCA's warning letter to CFD providers by noting that it had already taken steps to address the issues noted in the letter. It added that “it continues to focus on its target market and works closely with its small number of distributors to enhance regulatory compliance.”
