LMAX Exchange, the institutional forex subsidiaries of the LMAX Group, has appointed Christian Skovgaard Larsen as its Liquidity Manager who took charge of the role earlier this month and will be based in London.
The company confirmed to Finance Magnates that Larsen will be responsible for building and maintaining liquidity relationships.
Spent Years with Some Big Names
Larsen is a veteran in the finance industry with over two decades of experience. He described himself as an “FX spot & derivative and crypto & Blockchain expert,” as seen on his Linkedin profile.
He took over his new role at LMAX from Societe Generale, where he spent almost a decade as the Director of Foreign Exchange Trader. Moreover, he spent a couple of years at Dresdner Kleinwort, the investment banking arm of Dresdner Bank (now Commerzbank), as Vice President and was responsible for market-making with G10 currencies.
Larsen started his career in the finance industry at Danske Bank in 1999 as a Private Banking Account Manager and later was promoted to Dealer when he handled forex spot trading and market-making.
LMAX is a major group operating multiple regulated exchanges in the United Kingdom, Europe and other parts of the world. Finance Magnates recently reported on the exchange’s decision to migrate its Polish clients to Conotoxia, which is regulated locally in Poland.
Furthermore, the group expanded from its core forex services and dived into crypto trading with the growth in the sector. It gained a DLT license from the Gibraltar authorities for LMAX Digital and offering crypto trading services with it.
