Stater Global Markets (Stater), an institutional prime of prime brokerage, announced this Monday that Mark Chesterman has joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer. The newly created role will see Chesterman working closely with Stater’s CEO, Ramy Soliman.

Chesterman joins Stater from the IG Group, where he spent the last fourteen years of his career. Working his way up the corporate ladder, Chesterman worked as Chief FX dealer, Head of Futures and FX and Global Business Development Officer at IG Group.

In 2017, he was appointed as Chief Operating Officer for IG Institutional. Experienced hands

All of this experience will come in handy to Chesterman as he starts his new role with Stater. Working alongside Soliman, Chesterman will oversee the firm’s global expansion plans and supervise the development of new products.

On a more mundane level, but no less important, Chesterman will have to fulfill the standard obligations of a Chief Operating Officer. Stater noted in their statement today that Chesterman will have to ensure the firm remains operational but still maintain a level of agility.
