BGC Partners Appoints Shawn McLoughlin as CEO of BGC Financial, Americas

BGC Partners, Inc. (NASDAQ: BGCP), a global brokerage firm that deals in the financial and real estate industry, has announced the appointment of Shawn McLoughlin as the CEO of BGC Financial for the Americas Region.
Prior to this, McLoughlin worked as the Director of New Business Development in the North American region for BGC Partners for the past five and a half years. Before that, he was the CEO of Ticonderoga Securities LLC.
Shaun Lynn, President of BGC Partners, said: "Shawn will work to define business strategy for new products and drive revenue growth in the North American market.” He added that the existing Americas CEO Lou Scotto will stay on at the company and oversee special projects like the FENICS UST product.
FENICS is the market data arm of the company and it recently began to provide FX market data from China to its clients.
The data includes fixed income, interest rates and FX market data, and made FENICS the only internationally acclaimed commercial agent for this information.
