After incurring massive losses at the beginning of this year after the Swiss National Bank induced FX volatility, FXCM was forced to sell its Hong Kong unit to Japanese Rakuten Securities.
After leaving FXCM, Mr Lee held another high-profile position in the industry, serving as Regional Head of the business of Saxo Bank. Mr Lee shares publicly on his LinkedIn profile that he helped build up the operations of the Danish brokerage in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing.
He parted with Saxo Bank in August last year and shares on his professional social network profile that he lead the Danish powerhouse to having close to €300 million assets under management (AUM).
