Finalto Hires iS Prime’s Nik Wood as Senior Liquidity Analyst

After five years as an executive with the electronic trading and analytics team at iS Prime, Nik Wood has left the prime-of-prime broker to join Finalto. Wood announced his appointment as a Senior Liquidity and E-Trading Analyst at Finalto through LinkedIn yesterday (Friday).

Nik Wood Joins Finalto

Wood joins Finalto with nearly a decade of industry experience garnered mostly at iS Prime. He joined iS Prime in July 2018 and acted as a Liquidity Manager for the multi-asset brokerage and execution provider. Finance Magnates reported that the UK-based subsidiary of iSAM Securities closed the financial year 2022 with £16.2 million in pre-tax profit.

Specifically, Wood helped iS Prime’s bank, non-bank and institutional brokerage clients to manage their liquidity by providing them access to competitive pricing while also undertaking flow and aftermath analysis of their trades.

“[I] optimised the liquidity for our clients and make/take relationships within the institutional agency business,” Wood wrote about his role at iS Prime on his LinkedIn profile. “Over the past 12 months, traded volumes and revenues have risen by 200%.”

Before iS Prime, Wood managed two positions at State Street. First, he served as a Senior Associate for Professional Development Programme between 2016 and 2018. He would later work as the Officer for FX Connect Trade and Application Solutions at GlobalLink, State Street’s suite of electronic trading platforms.

Wood marked his entry into the financial industry in June 2014 after he joined State Street as a Multi-Asset Strategy Intern. In his beginner role, he provided analysis on forex, fixed income and equity markets.

Recent Appointments at Finalto

In recent months, Finalto has hired several executives. Some of them include Kenneth Lim as the Head of Liquidity in Asia, Paul Groves as the UK B2B CEO, Macro Maggioni as the Sales Director, and Klelia Orphanidou as the B2B Head of Regulatory Compliance.
