‘Peaceful World’ Token Is a Scam, Ukraine Cancels the Planned Airdrop

The 'Peaceful World' token that was supposed to be the upcoming airdrop from Ukraine appears to be a scam. We will cautiously say that investors that were buying the token from decentralized exchanges such as PancakeSwap may have lost their money.

To recap, after receiving millions of dollars through crypto donations, Ukraine affirmed it will launch an airdrop (token was revealed in the blockchain) on 3 March, 18:00 Kyiv time (GMT +2). Ukraine has its own address for accepting crypto donations on the Ethereum blockchain.

Ukraine announced that it will reward donors with a secret token, which will be revealed at the airdrop.

Ukraine donation ETH address currently has approximately 2,500 ethers. In today's market value, the ETH balance stands at a notch over $7 million (excluding past withdrawals). At the time of writing, the total balance of the donation's address is approximately $12 million.

'Peaceful Word' Token Scam, Ukraine Airdrop is Cancelled

PeckShield issued a warning that the Peaceful World token is a scam. The scammers sent most of the WORLD tokens to the address of 'Ukraine' and then moved the tokens to other addresses. The airdrop was never performed by the Ukrainian government.

Mykhailo Fedorov, the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine confirmed the airdrop has been cancelled. Instead, Ukraine will use non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

"After careful consideration, we decided to cancel airdrop. Every day there are more and more people willing to help Ukraine to fight back the aggression. Instead, we will announce NFTs to support Ukrainian Armed Forces soon. We DO NOT HAVE any plans to issue any fungible tokens."
