Satoshi Nakamoto States “I am not Darion Nakamoto”

In a twist of the story of who is the creator of Bitcoin , a forum account associated with Satoshi Nakamoto but has been dormant has come to life again with the message that he isn’t Dorian Nakamoto.

investigative journalist Leah McGrath Goodman as the creator of bitcoins, Dorian Prentice Satoshi Nakamoto of Temple Hills, California, rejected the claims. The rejection was part of an interview with the AP’s Ryan Nakashima, which included a wild beginning as reporters converged on Nakamoto’s residence before ultimately leading to him driving off with Nakashima to buy lunch before they headed to AP’s Downtown LA news bureau, being chased by other members of the media. In the interview, Nakamoto explained that he misunderstood McGrath Goodman, and his answer that he was no longer involved with it, didn’t mean with bitcoins but with engineering projects.

The rejection was followed shortly by the message “I am not Dorian Nakamoto” by Satoshi Nakamoto’s account on P2P Foundation.

The post led to questioning the legitimacy of the message. While the account is associated with the ‘real’ Satoshi Nakamoto, the question remained of whether it was hacked by someone else. On this matter, Nicolas Mendoza from P2P Foundation posted on Reddit that they were working to verify the authenticity of the Nakamoto post. If authentic, it would be the first public message from Nakamoto since 2011.
