Grayscale, the world’s largest cryptocurrency asset manager, announced today that the company’s total crypto assets under management (AUM) touched an all-time high of $50.6 billion this week. Grayscale became the first digital asset manager to reach $50 billion in total AUM.

According to an official announcement, the company now has more than $41 billion worth of Bitcoin under management. The latest jump in Grayscale’s total value of BTC holdings came after the world’s largest cryptocurrency jumped above $64,500 on 14 April, which is its highest level on record.

Cryptocurrency Ethereum is the second-largest holding of Grayscale as the company holds more than 3 million ETH worth approximately $7.4 billion. The world’s second most valuable cryptocurrency touched an all-time high today after ETH breached the level of $2,470 for the first time.

Institutional interest in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency assets has surged since the start of this year. During the latest earnings call, David Solomon, CEO of Goldman Sachs said: “Cryptocurrency assets are important to our clients and important to the future of global financial systems. The bank will play a role in these innovations.”

Grayscale’s Cryptocurrency Investment Trusts

The US-based digital assets manager has a wide range of cryptocurrency investment trusts including Litecoin (LTC), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Basic Attention Token (BAT), Chainlink (LINK), Decentraland (MANA), Stellar (XLM, Zcash (ZEC), Filecoin (FIL) and Livepeer (LPT) investment trusts. Earlier this week, the company announced that it has partnered with TIME Magazine to launch a new video series this summer to cover BTC and other cryptocurrency assets. Additionally, Grayscale mentioned that TIME Magazine has agreed to hold Bitcoin on their balance sheet.

Grayscale Litecoin Trust has achieved a significant milestone as the total value of the company’s LTC assets under management reached $400 million amid a surge in the price of the world’s 9th most valuable cryptocurrency. Furthermore, the crypto asset manager has more than $260 million worth of Ethereum Classic under management along with $234 million worth of Bitcoin Cash.
