Crypto.com Launches Tokenised US Stocks in Europe: Trading Opens Round the Clock

  • Crypto.com becomes the latest major exchange to offer tokenised US equities in Europe, following Kraken and Bybit.
  • The tokens are structured as derivatives tracking underlying US shares rather than conferring ownership.

European users of Crypto.com now have around-the-clock access to more than 1,500 tokenised US stocks and ETFs, the exchange said.

The tokenised instruments are issued by Crypto.com's Cyprus entity, Foris Capital CY Limited, while the underlying shares are held in custody by a US-regulated self-clearing broker-dealer Alpaca.

Trading Runs Continuously, with Entry from $1

According to Crypto.com, users can access Tokenised Stocks with as little as $1. Trading is available outside standard market hours and covers instruments referencing shares such as Nvidia, Tesla and Apple, along with ETFs tracking commodities including gold and silver.

“Money never sleeps. Market access shouldn’t either,” said Kris Marszalek, Co-Founder and CEO of Crypto.com.

The trading opens on 12 August 2026 in the European Economic Area and other approved jurisdictions.

Tokenised Stocks track the price of the underlying assets rather than conferring ownership or shareholder rights. Users may still qualify for dividend-equivalent adjustments.

Alpaca, which holds the underlying assets in custody, supports more than 90% of the tokenised US stock and ETF market, according to Crypto.com. The figure is self-reported and has not been independently verified.

Crypto.com is offering eligible users zero-commission trading on Tokenised Stocks for a limited introductory period. Other FX charges or spreads may still apply under the product's terms. The company has not said when the promotion ends.

Kraken and Bybit Already Run Similar Products

The launch puts Crypto.com alongside Kraken and Bybit, which already distribute comparable tokenised equity products built on Backed Assets' xStocks.

Unlike Crypto.com's derivative structure, xStocks on Kraken can be withdrawn to self-custody wallets for supported assets, according to Kraken's own product documentation.
