Continuing the theme of sponsoring sports teams, ZoomTrader, a UK-based binary options broker, has inked a sponsorship deal with Italian soccer team Bologna FC.
Neither the full financial terms nor the duration of the deal have been disclosed, but under its terms ZoomTrader will become Bologna FC’s official binary options trading partner. This would allow the brand to take advantage of advertising opportunities across the club’s various communications channels.
More specifically, the broker will be entitled to TV-relevant advertising rights at the club’s Stadio Renato Dall’Ara home ground, as well as an allowance of hospitality tickets to matches.
Since this practice has been established as a trend, sports sponsorships, especially of popular and well established football clubs, are still a preferred marketing strategy by brokers operating in the online retail forex and binary options business.

Mutually beneficial partnership
Ranked 14th in last season’s Serie A, Bologna FC , known simply as Bologna, is indeed a historic club that was formed back in 1909. Followed by a large fanbase across Italy, Bologna has many times recorded high attendance rates, while it also has a rich track record of success on the field since it has won the Italian league championship seven times.
Earlier last week, the binary option broker signed a three-year sponsorship deal with Bundesliga soccer team FC Köln. The agreement offers the company access to various communication channels and TV-relevant promotional opportunities, while also tapping into advertising resources at the team’s RheinEnergieStadion.
The financial details of this deal were also undisclosed. But according to estimates made by some industry insiders, the cost of the two partnerships could be under 6 figures.
