eToro Launches Real Time Stock CFD Trading
- Part of a series of product rollouts for 2015, eToro is launching continuous real time CFD stock trading today to customers for 230 stocks.
eToro has today announced the availability of real time single stock CFD trading. The launch takes place after Finance Magnates reported in March that the product was part of a series of additions being rolled out in 2015 along with a new HTML5 trading platform which is slated to go public soon.
For eToro customers, the stock CFDs will replace the previous version which hadn’t been available for real time trading and resembled a mutual fund, with orders being aggregated and filled once a day. However, like the previous product, eToro will continue to offer fractional share trading with position sizes taken based on dollar amount and not on share size. Subsequently, customers won’t be buying 1 share of Apple (AAPL) at $127, but Apple CFDs in increments of $25. Real time performance will be based on the underlying moves of the real Apple stock.
As well as real time trading, eToro is adding 2x Leverage Leverage In financial trading, leverage is a loan supplied by a broker, which facilitates a trader in being able to control a relatively large amount of money with a significantly lesser initial investment.
